Experience & Memberships

Marcelo Guerrero is a litigation consultant of GQM since 2016.

Marcelo has vast experience as a litigator and has had an outstanding participation in conflicts before the higher courts, especially at the Supreme Court. He is an expert in civil, civil procedure and constitutional law.

As a consultant of the litigation team in GQM, his practice is focused on the proposition of plans and legal strategies in Court cases involving civil, commercial and constitutional matters, as well as preparing reports, conducting audit procedures and research on diverse matters of law.

Prior to joining GQM, he has had an important career in the State Defense Council, where he served for several years as a Trial Attorney, leading cases of national relevance. He is currently the Head of the Internal Audit Unit of the State Defense Council.

In the academic area, Marcelo is Professor at the University Andrés Bello. In addition, he has taught several courses at the Judicial Academy. For several years, Marcelo was researcher at the Center for the Study of Justice of the Law Faculty of the University of Chile.

He is coauthor of the book “The Appeal of Nullity in Criminal Matters. Jurisprudence of the Supreme Court. Years 2001-2013 “, Editorial LOM, Santiago.
