Hugo Prieto is a partner of GQM.
His practice focuses on corporate law, M&A, foreign investment, mining law and real estate. In corporate matters, Hugo has vast experience in the sale and purchase of companies and in advising foreign investors in the establishment of their business in Chile. Furthermore, he has participated in the negotiation and drafting of option agreements, EPC, EPCM and service provision agreements in the mining sector.
Hugo in is charge of Tecnomin S.A., company that provides mining property services to national and foreign clients.
Prior to joining Grasty Quintana Majlis & Cia., Hugo worked for more than 8 years advised diverse Chilean infrastructure concessionaires and acted in the competitive bidding process for the main Chilean port and airport infrastructure projects and also cross-border tenders.
Member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, AMPLA (The Resources and Energy Law Association – Australia) and the Chilean Bar Association.
